NFLPA re-elects DeMaurice Smith!/NFLPA/status/182838988900532224

From Washington Post:

The leaders of the NFL Players Association have re-elected DeMaurice Smith as the union’s executive director, it was announced Thursday.

The union said Smith was “unanimously reaffirmed” by player representatives of NFL teams. Smith’s contract was scheduled to expire this month. Contract details were not immediately available.

It is not known how long Smith’s new contract will last. It will be negotiated with the union’s incoming executive committee, but such deals traditionally have been for three years.

DeMaurice Smith has been unanimously re-elected as NFLPA executive director. It's like they don't want me to watch football anymore.

Congrats to DeMaurice Smith on being elected for another 3 years. Unfortunately, he's now likely unavailable for public speaking lessons.

Congratulations to DeMaurice Smith on his re-election … Covered him closely for 7 months last year. And I greatly respect the work he did.
