Twitchy has been careful not to report on every rumor of Ebola in the United States, but several mainstream media outlets are reporting that a patient has been hospitalized with Ebola-like symptoms at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., after a return flight from Nigeria.

#BREAKING: Patient who'd traveled to Nigeria showing possible #Ebola symptoms. Currently in isolation at Washington DC hospital.

While some liberal halfwits saw the confirmed case of Ebola in Texas as a reason for the state to secede, what would it mean if Ebola were found within the nation’s capital?

@cnnbrk This is not good if it turns out to be true. #EbolaOutbreak

Unanswered at this press conference: do you know how close you are to the Ebola case at Howard University?

— Anthony Eboly (@AnthonyBialy) October 3, 2014

Of course, Ebola is probably the least pernicious, least destructive thing in Washington right now…

— Will Antonin (@Will_Antonin) October 3, 2014

RT if you think new US Ebola cases should be all transferred to Washington DC.

@cnnbrk SHUT THE GOD DAMN BORDERS from Africa! #Ebola

And just like that, Howard University is monitoring someone who may have Ebola.

AWESOME I WORK RIGHT BY HOWARD UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL WHERE THE EBOLA PATIENT IS FUCKING AWESOME 😀

— The D (@DylanHagemanass) October 3, 2014

Ebola might be in Howard Hospital and I live right across the street from Howard 😟😟😟😞😞😞

— mindless.prince (@qveen_kierra) October 3, 2014

On another note, I wonder how many folks still going to Howard's homecoming now that they have an Ebola patient at the hospital.

Patient at Howard with Ebola. How convenient? Government made that shit just like they made AIDS & put it in Africans to test it.

— Zeus The Truth (@BigBlaqueBeast) October 3, 2014

Again, the patient at Howard has only been diagnosed with symptoms and not confirmed with Ebola. National Review’s Jim Geraghty has an artist’s rendition of Washington, D.C., from the near future, if the Ebola diagnosis pans out.

Man, D.C. is not taking the news of the local Ebola case well. pic.twitter.com/io0wSPw2ui

@jimgeraghty the best hope for this country is for it to destroy all that are there … with the exception of you geraghty …
